Pushtar Bugyal trek is a hidden natural meadow trek located in Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. It is situated in the middle of famous treks of Har ki Dun and Kedarkantha. It is known for its natural flora and green meadows and the forest trail of domestic animals grazing it. The beautiful Himalayan ranges in the surrounding areas can be seen from here. It is also the camping place of other four main treks. Sarutal Maneer, Manji Kanda, Fachu Kandi and Phulara Ridge are also the main stops. Pushtar Bugyal is one of the unique treks of Uttarakhand, which is known for the trekking around and the peaceful environment. It is an uphill trek in which one has to climb and come down. The base camp of this trek is Dhatmeer village (Taluka small market of area ) from where one can easily hike to this place. It is located at a distance of 15 km from the famous Sankri base camp. The camping place of Pushtar Bugyal is very beautiful and attractive to nature lover’s This trek passes through dense forests. Passing through wild landscape, it ends at a peak called Jhandi top ,During the trek, you will also get to see the rural lifestyle and the amazing culture and civilization of this place in Dhatmeer village. Maneer and Sarutal trek is 7 km ahead of Pustra Bugyal, where very few people come.
During this trek, many small waterfalls and wooden bridges are also seen, which make this journey efficient.
Day 1 – Dehradun to via Taluka, Sankri Dhatmeer village
Day 2 – Dhatmeer to Dodi Thach
Day 3 – Dodi Thach to Pustara Bugyal Summit Return Dodi Thach
Day 4 – Dodi Thach to Dhatmeer (Sankri)
Day 5 – Dhatmeer (Sankri) to Dehradun
Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri, via Dhatmeer (Drive – 215 Km | 8-9 Hours)
Early morning pickup (near Prince chowk, railway station Dehradun.)
Scenic drive via Mussoorie, Nainbagh, Purola, Mori Naitwar Sankri, Taluka
Reach Dhatmeer (base village) by evening
Night stay at homestay
Day 2: Dhatmeer to Dodi Thach and trek – 8 Km | 7-8 hours)
Trek along the Supin river through dense deodar forest
Reach Dodi Thach camping side
Overnight stay in tent
Day 3: Dodi Thach to Pustara Bugyal Shikhar (peak) and return from Dodi Thach (Trek – 11 km | 8-9 hours)
Watch lush green velvety meadows of Khas and a variety of Himalayan flora, alpine meadows and some wild flowers and birds,
Beautiful views of nearby treks including Swargarohini, Ranglana, Devkyara and Barasar high ranges, Yamunotri range and Mussoorie range, Changshil, Rohru range and nearby treks like Kedarkantha, Sarutal, Manir, Har Ki Doon valley, spectacular views from this trek.

How to go: One day set up your camp in Pushtar Bugyal and return by late evening.
Sarutal has two small temples and idols, where the deities are worshipped, and the local deities come here every year for holy bath at a certain time, or this area falls in Barkot valley, so mostly the deities of Barkot valley come here.
After visiting this, return back to Pushtara camp]
Day 4: Dodi thach to Dhatmeer trek Distance 9 km | 7-8 hours)
Wake up early in the morning (enjoy the sunrise and peaceful environment and after breakfast, slowly start walking Start descending
Reach Dhatmeer (base village) by evening where hot dishes will be waiting for you
After that go out in the village and understand the rural life and try to listen and understand some old stories from the elders, in which you will get to see and understand many experiences
Night stay in homestay
Day 5: Dhatmeer to Dehradun (Drive: 215 km | 8-9 hours)
Return to Dehradun by the same route and if you have one more day then visit Hanol Mahasu Devta

By air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.
By rail: The nearest railway station is Rishikesh or Haridwar.
By road: Buses/taxi are available to Guptkashi and Sonprayag. One has to trek 18 km from Gaurikund, 5 km from Sonprayag.
