Do Dham is a famous pilgrimage of Uttarakhand, in which two major Dhams – Kedarnath and Badrinath are visited. This journey is an unforgettable experience for religious faith, spirituality and nature lovers.

KEDARNATH
is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Where Lord Shiva is worshiped for 6 months and this place is dedicated to Mahadev ji. Bhima took his huge form and placed both the feet in the mountains, after which all the oxen passed under the feet of Bhima, but Nandi Roop Mahadev Dev started drowning in the earth in the same place only in which the bull part of the bull above the back of the bull was on the back and after the Pandavas by the Pandavas.
The temple of Shiva was built at the same place. Or at present the temple was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya, who restored the glory of the temple in the 8th century AD. It is said that this temple is more than 1,200 years old. And Kedarnath Temple is one of the holy places of pilgrimage in northern India, situated on the banks of the Mandakini River in the middle of the Himalayan ranges,
The historical name of this area is “Kedar Khand”. Like other Dhams, Kedarnath Dham also attracts thousands of devotees and trekking enthusiasts, To reach Kedarnath temple, you have to climb 18 to 20 kilometers because Gaurikund is the last motorable stop after which you can either walk or reach the top by horse or mules. While heading towards the temple, you will get beautiful views of places like ‘Jungle Chatti’, ‘Bhim Bali’, Rambada ‘Linachauli’ and Ghoda Bindu and Kedarnath Base Camp.
BADRINATH
Dham is the holy place of Lord Vishnu in the dual form of Nar Narayan,
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu at an altitude of 3300 meters, Badrinath Dham is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites among the four Dhams and is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Where you will also get the privilege of visiting beautiful holy and historical places like Joshimath and temples like Narasimha Maharaj,
According to legends, Lord Vishnu meditated under Badri (tree), hence its name Badrinath. Not only this, references to both Kedarnath and Badrinath can be easily found in many Hindu scriptures and religious books.

For Kedarnath and Badrinath, the fitness needs are slightly different due to the nature of the terrain and travel. Here’s a breakdown:
Kedarnath:
Fitness Level: Moderate to High
The trek to Kedarnath is around 16–18 km (from Gaurikund).
The path is steep and at high altitude (3,583 m), which can cause fatigue or breathing issues for some.
Good stamina, healthy lungs, and strong legs are important.
Recommended: Walking 4-5 km daily, light cardio, and breathing exercises for 3-4 weeks before the trip.
Badrinath:
Fitness Level: Easy to Moderate
Badrinath is accessible by road, and the temple is a short walk from the parking area.
However, since it’s also at high altitude (3,300 m), people with respiratory or heart conditions should take precautions.
Light walking and acclimatization are usually enough.
